Masterclass - Bozzini Quartet

Welcome to the Open Masterclass with Konsen and the Bozzini Quartet!

The Bozzini Quartet from Montreal, Canada, is one of the world’s leading string quartets in contemporary music. During the 2025 Northern Lights Festival, they will make their first-ever visit to Tromsø to present a piece commissioned from Sarah-Jane Summers and Juhani Silvola.

During their stay in Tromsø, they have also graciously opened up for a masterclass with local string talents from the Music Conservatory. Curious about how a world-class string quartet works? Join us in the Festival Hall this morning to experience both beautiful music and musical artistry at the highest level.

Founded in 1999, the Bozzini Quartet has collaborated extensively with the world’s foremost contemporary composers and musicians. Over the years, they have commissioned and premiered around 500 works and released 40 critically acclaimed recordings.
