Mimmi Tamba and Lisa Skoglund have been friends since 7th grade. After living together for five years in Oslo, Lisa moved back to Northern Norway in 2014. Over the last 10 years, they have stayed in daily contact through text and voice messages, and both agree that this exchange provides the most honest picture of their emotional lives from ages 23 to 33. What lies behind friendship? Why is the importance of friendships downplayed over a lifetime, while romantic love receives all the attention in art and culture?

In this concert, Mimmi Tamba and Lisa Skoglund will talk about their friendship, cover each other’s songs, and try to put into words how they’ve managed to maintain their close bond over the last decade.

Mimmi is one of this year’s festival headliners, while Lisa Skoglund is a well-known artist in Tromsø, recognized for her intimate storytelling and personal lyrics. Joining them on stage is pianist and esteemed collaborator Stine Maren Steien, who will help convey the music in a stripped-down and intimate setting.
