The London Symphony's concertmaster plays in Tromsø Cathedral during the Northern Lights Festival 2020!
The exceptional violinist and concertmaster Roman Simovic, in collaboration with the MiN ensemble, comes to Tromsø on January the 31st!
The last time he played with MiN was Oslo Concert Hall. The repertoire is Johannes Brahms Piano Quintet in minor, Op.34 and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Souvenir de Florence, Op.70. Two strong works from the romantic period in music history, composed by two of the most prominent composers of the time.
Roman Simovic is one of the world's most sought-after violinists today and since 2010 has been the leader of the LSO (London Symphony Orchestra). He has toured the world and played on Europe's most prestigious classical music scenes, such as the Barbican Hall in London, the Rachmaninov Hall in Moscow and the Grieg Hall in Bergen to name a few.
The MiN ensemble is one of Norway's foremost chamber ensembles and is based in Narvik, Nordland. MiN ensemble has several recordings and has toured in Europe, the USA and Russia with everything from typical classical music including baroque but also crossover projects in the jazz genre.
We are very happy to have Roman Simovic returned to Norway once again, it inspires everyone in the ensemble and production team to be able to collaborate with a musician of this caliber. We hope that music enthusiasts in Tromsø know their visit time and bring this unique concert with them!
