For many decades in the post-war period, Egil Monn-Iversen was the most significant figure in Norwegian cultural life. He could help build a career and just as easily tear it apart. No wonder he eventually got the nickname The Godfather.
Monn-Iversen made great success with the group The Monn Keys. He then started a record company, became the director at the Chat Noir Theatre and musical director at The Norwegian Broadcasting Company. As a composer and musical director, he mastered countless genres, and he moved easily from jazz to film music and musicals.
In this concert performance, you will get to know the man, the composer, and the godfather Egil Monn-Iversen.
