Pistol & Bart

Pistol & Bart is an experimental band from Tromsø, formed on a dark and cold winter night in 2007 by Erik Forsgren and Rudi Nikolaisen. Genre-wise, the band stands in a category of its own, making it difficult to classify—but it is characterized by Forsgren’s dark poetry intertwined with Nikolaisen’s soundscapes. Pistol & Bart is also known for creating unique concert experiences and has previously performed at festivals such as Trænafestivalen, Ordkalotten, Barentsjazz, and the Arctic Arts Festival (Festspillene i Nord-Norge).

Their debut album, "...Rir igjen", was released in February 2013, drawing inspiration from genres like post-rock, folk, and hip-hop. For a long time, the release remained a well-kept secret for many, but in recent years it has gained a certain cult status. At the Northern Lights Festival, Pistol & Bart will perform this album in its entirety for the first time, with a full band.
