Welcome to one of the most spectacular productions in this year's festival.
When the production premiered at the Arctic Arts Festival in 2021 it captivated both audiences and critics alike. The performers guide us through a journey of yoik and dance which expresses the importance of being aware of the nature around us, the world we all share.
The theme of the performance is our relationship to nature as humans and humans as nature. The performance starts outdoors, and the audience are then guided indoors while surrounded by yoik.
The renowned composer Frode Fjellheim has composed the music and the polyphonic yoik.
- My wish with the performance is to give the audience the bodily experience of standing together, sharing the powerful experience of being with other people outdoors and feeling part of something bigger, says artistic director and choreographer Elle Sofe Sara. Elle Sofe's approach and choreographic language make her one of the most interesting choreographers of her generation.
Please note that the performance starts outside - meeting point TBA.
