UNGSY

In the UNGSY orchestra you will experience young students and their teatchers at Kulturskolen, msicians from the Arctic Philharmonic, students from UiT-Musikkonservatoriet and talented amateur musicians all together on one stage. The goak being to give the young musicians an opportunity to play together with proffesionals, and feel the joy of playing in a symphonic orchestra. We are convinced that this joy and energy will apread all through the music hall, and reach even the audience at the back row and all the way home.

For us in Nordlysfestivalen, this concert has become one of our very favourites that we treasure with all our hearts. When asking our volunteers about their highlight from the festival - almost all point to this concerts as one of their top moments. We are so happy to be able to be part of this every year.

The Arctic Philharmonic point to this concerts importance in contributing in the development of the classical music field in the region. Connecting the proffesional field, with the rising stars and talents to come.

This years soloist

Also this year, a young musician gets to take the front stage as soloist. This time pianist Christian Henrichsen. Christian is 14 years old.

Many of the earlier soloists are now taking higher eduication in music and are persuing a proffesional carriere.
