Ensemble Ernst and Lars Lien

In 2004, saxophonist Lars Lien commissioned a saxophone concert by composer John Persen. The work was titled "BRUDD"(fracture), a title that reflected Persen's relationship with Norwegian music industry, which he felt let down by. The composer turned on many of his old associates and friends. This also made it difficult to get the work performed. The Northern Lights Festival is proud to invite you to a long-awaited premiere of Persen's work, performed by Ensemble Ernst and soloist Lars Lien.
