Susanne Lundeng

The last time Susanne Lundeng performed at The Northern Lights Festival, the reviews were excellent, and the regional newspaper Nordlys described Lundeng as "a living folk tune". Now she is back with jazz musicians Nils-Olav Johansen and Erik Nylander. The trio’s performance is a playful and expressive symbiosis of jazz and Norwegian folk music.

Susanne Lundeng's music is described as virtuoso fiddle playing, fragile songs, innovation and tradition, with North Norwegian folk music at its core. Susanne is an award winning musician and songwriter, and is highly regarded for her collection, dissemination and further development of folk music over more than 30 years.

Her concerts are often described as light, playful and cheerful, but at the same time stormy and moving, intense and raw.
