With the festival pass you get free entrance to all our events, BUT you have to reserve your seat by the 1st of february to be guaranteed a seat. Should you not be able to book your ticket before it is sold out, you can try your luck and get in line together with our volunteers outside the venue and we'll let you in if there is room.

Do I have to buy a festival pass ?
No, you can still buy single tickets as usual for all our events. However if you are attending more events - you could save a lot on buying a festival pass.

When do I save on buying a festival pass vs. ordinary tickets?

Full festival: From appx six-eight events
Opening weekend: From three - five events
Final weekend: From three - five events

All numbers of course depends on what events you choose. We'll have around 40 ticketed events.
Are you under 30 yrs, you have to attend slightly over double the amount of events before you save on it.

How do I reserve my seat?
When you buy your ticket you'll recieve a code in your email. Use this in the discount field at all events and a free tickets field will appear. If your festival pass is connected to an antitickets account it should automatically register.

Why do I have to reserve my seat in advance?
Many of our venues have limited capacity, so after the 1st of february we open up remaining tickets for those who don't have a festival pass. You can still book your ticket, but when it is sold out it is sold out. You can always try your luck at the door, joining the line alongside volunteers and artists in a first come first serve way.

Most tickets for the Northern Lights Festival are purchased through the ticketing system AntiTicketp. When you click “Buy ticket” you will be redirected there.

This also applies to tickets on the Main Stage at Tromsø Kulturhus!
This is a change from before, this also means that it is not possible to reserve specific seats.

If you need to reserve a specific seat for health reasons, please contact us and we will reserve a suitable seat for you. It is still possible to buy a wheelchair ticket, and we will then reserve a space for you in the ordinary wheelchair spaces at Kulturhuset.

Our ticket prices range from NOK 0 to 580, including fees. We always prioritize keeping ticket prices low for families and students. As of 2027 we also provide senior discounts.

Our children's tickets (under 16) are heavily subsidized by Samfunnsløftet – Sparebank1 Nord-Norge, and are therefore more affordable. For performances aimed at children, we also keep regular ticket prices low so that the total cost is manageable for most people. Please see "opplevelseskortet" if you are in need of extra funding.

We generally do not offer group discounts for private customers, but please get in touch if you for example wish to bring your entire marching band.

Most of our events have a free age limit. However, some of our concerts and performances also take place in venues that have an age limit of 18 years, and separate agreements are required to bring minors. It will be stated in each individual event if there is an age limit where applicable. Contact us if you have any questions - we usually find a solution for music and culture-loving youth!

We have multiple concerts and performances for children. These can easily be found by filtering on “family” on our program page.

Please note! Children under the age of six (school age) are always to be accompanied by an adult - even though the performance is made for children. There is no room for waiting outside.

Do you have the experience card (Opplevelseskortet through Tromsø Kommune)? Then you can go to several of our shows for free. For more information see your page on riskus.
In the program, all events the experience card applies to are marked with “experience card”

• Purchased tickets are non-refundable.
• If an event is cancelled, all ticket buyers will be contacted and given the opportunity to refund the ticket. In the event of a refund, the service charge (ticket fee) will not be refunded.
• If you are late for the show, it is up to the audience hosts to decide when you can enter the hall so as not to disturb the event. This may in some cases be limited to break times.
  Some shows do not allow entry after the doors are closed.
• Being late for performance, and thus being refused entry does not provide grounds for a refund of the ticket.
