The Crown Prince last visited the festival in 2009 when he presided over the official opening. *

H.K.H. Crown Prince Haakon was supposed to visit the festival in 2024, but the visit had to be canceled due to severe weather and canceled flights.
On the visit, the Crown Prince was to attend the performance “Haíresis - to whom do you give your soul?” and visit Kvaløya nursing home in connection with the nursing home tour that the festival has dedicated to the Crown Prince Couple on the occasion of their 50th birthdays.
