PROGRAM 2026
A bubbly collaboration resurfaces

It is high time for a repeat of the wonderful interaction between Scene Nord's country musicians in the group Fotefar and Bjørn Tomren!
When Bjorn Tomren is on stage, anything can happen. He sings, yodles, throats and narrates -- balancing the comic with the heartfelt. In this concert he meets the Northern Norwegian folk music group, Fotefar, for the occasion in a greatly expanded ensemble. Together, they create an evening that ranges from the fun to the poignant -- and that challenges the audience's expectations of what music can be.
Bjørn Tomren is famous among others from the jodle and accordion duo Polkabjørn & Kleine Heine. In 2021, he walked away with the victory in the popular NRK program Stjernekamp, and this fall he is featured on the same channel in the sitcom, Our Best Years.
Folmusikgruppa Fotefar has been a regional musician in Scene Nord since 2007, and over the years it has shaped its unique musical signature. The group usually consists of three fantastic musicians: Ragnhild Furebotten, Lena Jinnegren and Bendik Lund Haanshus. In this production they feature with amplification on trumpet/electronics, percussion and tuba/bass. The music consists of throat singing, jodl and other hits from Tomren's repertoire, combined with tunes and shows from Fotefar. It will be good with punch in the carton!
