PROGRAM 2026
How long is really soon?

There are so many things to think about!
Where will be all that is gone?
Why is candy so good when it's not really healthy?
How long is “soon” really?
And imagine if you could be as small as a match for a day.
Think of all that could have been done then!
Sigrun Loe Sparboe is an artist and songwriter from Harstad who has been making and releasing music for many years! In January this year, she released her first album for children, Paper Planes & Bottlemail, with wonder as the red thread in the songs. Sigrun takes the children's perspective and enters the world of imagination and play with the desire to take children's thoughts and feelings seriously. Here there are songs to dance to and songs to sing along to, but also lyrics to listen to that contribute to wonder and insight.
The music has garnered sparkling reviews across the country, and of the songs go into rotation on NRK super. In a society with ever higher tempo and a lot of sound, Sigrun has a desire to give children access to even those songs that do not shout the loudest.
Welcome to a beautiful concert for the whole family, where curiosity is at the forefront.
WHAT IS RELÆXT?
Relæxt are knowledge-based art and cultural experiences with a more relaxed setting. The events are for everyone, but they are specially adapted for children, adults and families who may find it challenging to attend regular performances.
We make small adjustments to create a Relæxt experience. For example, we dim the light in the hall, but never completely turn it off. We do not use stage smoke and strobe lighting, and we have adjusted the sound level in the highest peaks. In addition, you will receive a visual guide in advance describing the entire experience from your arrival at the venue until the end of the concert.
Most importantly: Relæxt is hush-free zone. You are allowed to both talk loudly, laugh, cry, tickle and shout, and you can walk in and out of the hall as much as you wish.
Relæxte performances at the Northern Lights Festival follow the guidelines and recommendations given by Relæxt. We are incredibly proud to be among the first organizers of Relæxt'e event in Tromsø, together with TIFF, Arctic Philharmonic, with The Arctic Theatre in the lead.
Relæxt has been developed in stages over the past five years, in close cooperation with professional bodies and user organisations. RKBU-Nord at the University of Tromsø has conducted the follow-up research, together with Høgskulen i Volda and the National Centre of Excellence for Culture in Health and Care.
