She biked so slowly she could watch the grass grow

“With this performance, we have witnessed stage art that dares to be demanding and innovative, yet quiet. There were no answers here, but everyone who sees this will have their perspective sharpened, and the essence of the content will stay with them.”
Theater critic Jørgen Mathisen
Æ e her (I am here) is based on Eva’s own diary entries from her time as a cancer patient. We are given a personal account of receiving a cancer diagnosis, navigating a crisis, and finding strength when it is needed most. The story is personal but not private; it is serious, yet analytical and told with a sense of detachment, offering a sideways glance at both the role of the healthcare system and her own reactions. Through text, music, and scenography that is painted and projected onto the stage, Eva takes us on a journey through the vulnerable, the brutal, and the hopeful.
The story is Eva’s, and it is not a prescription for how things should or ought to be. It is a tale of recovery, of hope, and of the resources we find within ourselves when life puts us to the test.
