Lunchtime Concerts
Welcome to one of our happiest and most visited traditions - lunch concerts with Kongsbakken and the Music Conservatory
Every day during the festival, from 30 January to 7 February, you can experience free concerts with the city's promising musical talents from the music line at Kongsbakken High School and the Music Conservatory at UiT. Enjoy the music, accompanied by a cup of coffee and something to bite into.
The collaboration with UiT, the Arctic University of Norway and the Conservatory of Music is a key part of the strategy and vision of the Northern Lights Festival. Bringing out the young voices and talents of the city is an important and very grateful task — we have the best talent in the world!
Practical info:
Friday 30th and Saturday 31st January: Kongsbakkens på Teaterkaféen, The Arctic Theatre.
Sunday 1 February: the piano students at the Conservatory in Festsalen, Rødbanken.
Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th February: The Music Conservatory in Bankhjørnet, Rødbanken.
All concerts start at 1pm, but it's a good idea to arrive a little earlier to secure a seat — this is popular!
The café at The Arctic Theatre will be open. In Rødbanken it is possible to buy coffee and more at Størhus, before going to Bankhjørnet.
